FS Job Vacancies Up In London
With a 7% rise last month…
A slight improvement for those surveying the City job market for opportunities.
Bloomberg: The number of job vacancies in the City, as London’s main financial district is known, rose to 6,048 in July from 5,645 in June, U.K. recruitment consultant Morgan McKinley said in a statement today. The number of people seeking new jobs fell 16 percent in July, according to the survey.
A good move on both sides of the equation, though the summer months, particularly August, are generally expected to be quieter as people concentrate more on holidays than new jobs. On the down side, the average salary City hires fell in July by 3 percent from the previous month to £51,429 pounds.
