Singapore and Hong Kong better than the UK/GB

Which came 22nd in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook…

Charles Tyrwhitt UK

The United Kingdom of Great Britain – not that united, not that great and not that competitive. Top of the table were (last year’s places in brackets):

1. Singapore (3)

2. Hong Kong (2)

3. USA (1)

4. Switzerland (4)

5. Australia (7)

6. Sweden (6)

7. Canada (8)

8. Taiwan (2)

9. Norway (11)

10. Malaysia (18)

The UK dropped one place to 22nd down from 21st last year. Perhaps ‘Kingdom of Britain’ would now suit.
