Bernie Madoff apparently got himself into yet another prison-yard fight with a fellow inmate recently. According to the NYP eyewitnesses informed them that the argument was about the state of the stock market. Here’s how it went down:
Madoff, serving 150 years at the Butner, NC, federal prison, was heard last week getting into a heated debate over the state of the market with another senior-citizen jailbird.
The shouting match got so heated that the inmate pushed Madoff, who shoved back harder with both hands, causing his attacker to stumble.
As the attacker tried to stand up straight, Madoff hovered over him red-faced and glaring, eyewitnesses said.
The septugenerian Ponz puncher came out the winner according to the witnesses but made up with his challenger the next day.
It’s amazing to see he still cares. Markets weren’t really a concern for his style of fund-management and they are unlikely to affect him much for the next 150 years or so.
