
Goldmans’ “Gordon Gekko look”
The FT has carried out some research into the reputation of various businesses and has found Goldman Sachs’ reputation a little tarnished.
Brand Asset Consulting on behalf of the FT carried out a survey of 17,000 Americans whcih found that Goldman’s stature had suffered in 2008 and 2009.
Anne Rivers, who oversaw the survey is quoted as saying: “Goldman Sachs still has that Gordon Gekko look to it among the general public.”

Well, they havn`t exactly sought to disabuse the public of that image. I`m sure the staff spend their bonuses on kidney machines for pensioners in Hartlepool and buy water tanks for African villages but I cannot say I have hard evidence of it.
